Dar es Salaam. Tanzania Electric Power Company Limited (Tanesco) has commended President John Magufuli for his efforts to improve power production in the country.
The workers specifically commended the President for his resolve to implement a 2,000 MW Stigler’s Gorge project at Rufiji basin, which stalled since Mwalimu Julius Nyerere era.
Speaking to reporters in Dar es Salaam on Thursday Tanzania Union of Industrial and Commercial Workers (TUICO) chairman at Tanesco branch Mr Hassan Athumani said the efforts will ensure that Tanzania has sufficient power as it heads to industrial economy.
