Tanzania gets new planning commission chief

Dr Fred Msemwa

Dar es Salaam. Dr Fred Msemwa has been appointed as the Executive Secretary of the National Planning Commission, replacing Lawrence Mafuru, who passed away recently. 

The appointment was announced by Chief Secretary Ambassador Moses Kusiluka in a statement issued on behalf of President Samia Suluhu Hassan. 

In other leadership changes Prof Philipo Lonati Sanga has been appointed as the Head of the Institute of Adult Education, taking over from Prof Michael Ngumbi, whose term has ended.

Previously, Prof Sanga served as Deputy Head, responsible for Academic Affairs at the same institution. 

Ambassador Susan Salome Kaganda has been assigned as Tanzania’s Ambassador to Zimbabwe.
