Dar es Salaam. Tanzania is poised to take a leading role in Africa’s investment landscape as it prepares to host the inaugural Tanzania Impact Investment Forum (TIIF) 2025—a pioneering two-day summit designed to unlock new pathways for sustainable development.

Scheduled for April 28–29, 2025, at the Johari Rotana in Dar es Salaam, the forum is organised in collaboration with the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania.

With over 200 local and international participants expected, including investors, social entrepreneurs, government officials, and development partners, TIIF 2025 is set to catalyse a new era of purpose-driven investment across the country.

Themed “Accelerating Impact through Investment and Innovation,” the forum will serve as more than just a networking event.

It will provide a platform for bold, actionable solutions aligned with Tanzania’s Vision 2050 and the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The summit aims to explore how catalytic capital, blended finance, and entrepreneurial innovation can drive inclusive economic growth in sectors crucial to Tanzanians.

“We’re not just gathering for conversations. We’re designing new ways of unlocking capital that directly respond to the needs of Tanzanian entrepreneurs, youth, and communities,” said National Program Officer and Economist at the Embassy of Switzerland in Tanzania, Mr Daniella Kwayu.

“This forum is about action. It’s about giving bold ideas the support they need to grow and thrive locally,” she added.

For over 45 years, Switzerland has been a committed development partner to Tanzania.

Through the Embassy of Switzerland, this longstanding relationship is evolving into one of strategic innovation.

Impact-driven initiatives, such as the Daraja Impact Fund and the Impact-Linked Finance Fund, support the growth of Tanzanian businesses in key sectors like agriculture, climate resilience, health-tech, and microfinance.

Swiss-supported innovation hubs are also shaping Tanzania’s entrepreneurial landscape.

The Ifakara Innovation Hub in Morogoro focuses on health-tech solutions, while the AfroGreen ClimAccelerator in Arusha supports climate-smart startups with strong potential for scalability.

These investments focus on economic growth and fostering pipeline of homegrown enterprises that address local challenges.

One of the major highlights of the forum will be a startup-investor matchmaking program.

Thirty promising Tanzanian startups will be selected for intensive pitch training.

From this pool, ten finalists will receive personalised coaching and the opportunity to pitch live to investors during the forum, unlocking doors to transformative funding and global exposure.

TIIF 2025 will emphasiss inclusivity, with core discussion tracks exploring sustainable agriculture, youth entrepreneurship, gender-lens investing, and climate resilience—areas critical to Tanzania’s development ambitions.

Facilitating direct engagement between the public and private sectors, the forum will highlight how blended finance models can help bridge investment gaps, paving the way for sustainable growth in key sectors.

As Tanzania positions itself as a beacon for impact investment in Africa, TIIF 2025 serves as a timely reminder of the power of collaboration.

With the support of global partners like the Embassy of Switzerland, alongside the drive of local change-makers, the country is laying the foundation for a more inclusive and resilient economic future.
