Arusha. The European Union (EU) is satisfied with the construction and furnishment of a modern laboratory at the Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC).

The EU Nuclear Safety Project manager, Ms Genevieve Lizin, said during her visit to the facility here on Saturday, November 17, 2018, that the bloc had been satisfied with the work. "This laboratory is world-class.”
TAEC director general Lazaro Busagala said the government had contributed Sh2.3 billion for constructing the laboratory.

Prof Busagala thanked the EU for providing equipment worth Sh11.5 billion.
