Dar es Salaam. Dark clouds hang over the Simba camp as four key players, Shaaban Chilunda, Jimson Mwanuke, Ahmed Feruzi, and Abdallah Hamis, have been unexpectedly excluded from the team's preparations for the Mapinduzi Cup semifinal against Singida Fountain.

This development comes just before the crucial clash on January 10, 2024, at the New Amaan Complex, leaving fans and analysts baffled and the team's future shrouded in uncertainty.

With the match kicking off at 8:15 pm, the timing of the players' exclusion adds another layer of intrigue to the already highly anticipated semifinal.

The quartet, who were initially part of the Zanzibar training camp, have reportedly returned to Dar es Salaam, raising questions about their future with the club.

The Citizen has learned that the four players are scheduled to meet with Simba's Chief Executive Officer, Iman Kajula, to discuss their status with the team. This meeting could potentially determine their fate within the club.

While Simba's Information Manager, Ahmed Ally, confirmed the players' removal from the camp and their return to Dar es Salaam, he declined to comment on any further speculation surrounding the issue.

"Any other information circulating is not verified by Simba's official sources. We will release an official statement in due course," Ally clarified.

The sudden and unexplained nature of this decision has sparked a flurry of speculation. Fans and football enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting official communication from Simba's management to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the exclusion and its potential impact on the team's performance in the Mapinduzi Cup.

With the on-field battle against Singida Fountain looming, the off-field developments have injected an extra layer of drama and intrigue into Simba's journey.
