Dar es Salaam. The future of Young Africans (Yanga) striker Joseph Guede is currently uncertain as the club’s management is making moves to recruit new two players.

Specifically, Yanga officials are in the process of securing the signatures of Azam FC’s Zimbabwean striker Prince Dube and Phillip Kinzumbi of DR Congo’s TP Mazembe.

The potential signings could significantly impact Ivorian Guede's position within the team.

Yanga are reportedly in the final stages of negotiations with both players, although the process has not been without its challenges.

The recruitment of Kinzumbi seems to be progressing smoothly, with the player himself expressing his readiness to join the Jangwani Street giants. The matter seems to be ‘easy’ as a result of the positive relationship between the two clubs.

However, the situation with Dube seems to be a bit complex as his move to Yanga will depend on the ruling of his complaint filed against his current club of Azam FC by the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF). Dube filed the complaint to challenge the validity of his contract. So far the issue is that Dube's transfer remains uncertain.

A source within Yanga has said that the fate of Guede hinges on the success of these potential signings.

Should the deals for Kinzumbi and Dube be finalized, Guede may find his position in the team jeopardized.

However, if the signings do not materialize, Guede is expected to remain with the club. He joined Yanga during a mid-season transfer window after a three-month period of inactivity.

Despite criticism over his lack of goals in early matches, Guede eventually proved his worth, scoring a total of ten goals in various competitions.

He netted in six goals in the Mainland Premier League, three in the CRDB Federation Cup, and one in the CAF Champions League.

Prior to joining Yanga, Guede played for Tuzlaspor in Turkey, where he also faced some challenges. His journey with Yanga has been a roller-coaster.
