It is Aziz Ki or Fei Toto in the TFF Awards 2024

  • The two players are contesting for the best attacking midfielders award together with former Azam FC player Kipre Junior, who has joined MC Algiers of Algeria.

Dar es Salaam. All eyes will tonight be on the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) 2024 awards to be given at Masaki’s The Super Dome in Dar es Salaam.

The night of awards will honour various football players from the NBC Premier League, CRDB Federation Cup, Championship, First League, Beach Football, and Women’s Premier League.

Referees, stadium managers, coaches, match commissioners, and others will also be honoured.

However, the centre of attraction will likely be the contest between attacking midfielder Stephane Aziz Ki of Young Africans (Yanga) and his Azam FC counterpart, Feisal “Fei Toto” Salum.

The two players will compete in three categories. Last season, they vied for the NBC Mainland Premier League golden boot, with Aziz Ki from Burkina Faso coming out on top with 21 goals against Fei Toto’s 19..

 As per the award list, the two players are contesting for the best attacking midfielders award together with former Azam FC player Kipre Junior, who has joined MC Algiers of Algeria.

The two players will also be contesting for the CRDB Federation Cup’s best player award with Clement Mzize, Ibrahim “Bacca” Hamad, both from Yanga, and Kipre Junior.

Apart from the two categories, Aziz Ki and Fei Toto will also be vying for the best player award of the NBC Premier League. Also on the list are Djigui Diarra, Ibrahim “Bacca” Hamad, Yao Kouassi (Yanga), Kipre Junior, Ley Matampi (Coastal Union) and Mohamed “Tshabalala” Hussein of Simba.

The awards also include other categories such as the best goalkeepers award of the CRDB Federation Cup, whereby Yanga’s Djigui Diarra, Abubakar Khomeiny (Singida Black Stars, now with Yanga) and Mohammed Mustafa of Azam FC are contesting.

Also, the best scorer award of the CRDB Federation Cup will be contested by Clement Mzize and Edward Songo of JKT Tanzania. The two players each scored five goals.

In the NBC Premier League, the best goalkeeper’s award is to be contested by three goalkeepers namely Ayoub Lakred of Simba, Ley Matampu (Coastal Union) and Djigui Diarra of Yanga.

 Yanga head coach Miguel Gamondi has been nominated for the best coach’s award together with David Ouma of Coastal Union and Bruno Ferry of Azam FC.
