Records indicate that this is the first-ever meeting between the two teams, adding a sense of novelty and excitement to the clash. Both sides will be aiming to establish dominance early in the competition, making the stakes even higher.

Speaking ahead of the game, Simba head coach Fadlu Davids admitted that the match would not be an easy one, given the quality of their opponents. However, he expressed confidence in his team’s preparations and ability to emerge victorious.

“It is going to be a tough match because Bravos do Maquis are one of the strong teams in the competition. However, we have prepared well, and I believe we will do our best to secure a positive result,” said Fadlu.

He praised his players for their commitment during training and recent matches, stressing that the team is ready to meet the expectations of Tanzanian fans.

Simba captain Mohammed “Tshabalala” Hussein echoed the coach’s sentiments and called on fans to turn out in large numbers to support the team.

“We have trained well ahead of the match and will not underestimate our rivals. We urge all Tanzanians to come to the stadium and cheer us on. Your support will make a huge difference,” said Hussein.
