Fadlu satisfied with players’ improvement ahead of Al Masry clash

'Fadlu' Davids has expressed his satisfaction with the team’s improvement ahead of their crucial CAF Confederation Cup quarterfinal first-leg clash against Egyptian side Al Masry on Wednesday.

The match is set to take place at the New Suez Stadium, also known as as-Suways (Suez), located in Ismailia, with kick-off scheduled for 7pm East Africa Time.

Simba, who are keen to secure a positive result away from home, have been undergoing rigorous training sessions, focusing on tactical discipline, physical fitness, and team coordination.

Davids praised the players’ commitment and progress, stressing that the team is well-prepared for the high-stakes encounter.

“Our players have shown great improvement in both tactical execution and overall fitness. The team is responding well to our strategies, and we are confident heading into the match. Al Masry are a strong opponent, but we believe in our ability to compete at the highest level,” said Davids.

The South African coach has worked tirelessly with his technical bench to refine Simba’s defensive structure while ensuring the team remains effective in attack.

He has placed a strong weight on improving ball possession and quick transitions which is key elements that will be crucial in breaking down Al Masry’s well-organized defense.




No injury concerns for Simba

Adding to the team’s confidence, Simba SC’s Information Manager, Ahmed Ally, confirmed that all players are in top shape, with no injuries reported in the squad.

 He stated that the high morale among the players is a positive sign as they approach the crucial fixture.

“The team is in great condition, and all players are available for selection. We do not have any injury concerns, which gives the technical bench the best options in choosing the starting eleven,” said Ally.

“The morale is high, and everyone is eager to deliver their best performance in this match,” he said.
