Dar es Salaam. Young Africans head coach Hans Van Pluijm yesterday admitted that, missing their star striker, Donald Ngoma is a big blow.

Yanga, who has a remote chance of sailing through to the Caf Confederation Cup semifinals, host MO Bejaia of Algeria at the National Stadium in their fifth group A match on August 13.

However, the Jangwani Street side that have a point in four matches will have to do without the services of the Zimbabwean who is serving a ban due to bookable offences.

“It is a blow for us. Missing a player of Ngoma’s calibre when you want to finish on a high note is a big blow. However, we will have a solution for the void he has left,” said the Dutchman.

Pluijm is likely to go for Malimi Busungu or Matheo Anthony who can deputise as centre forwards while the likes of Obrey Chirwa, Juma Mahadhi and Simon Msuva may be deployed as attacking midfielders.
