Dar es Salaam. Khalid Shemndolwa emerged the overall winner of the Vodacom Corporate Masters Golf Tournament after collecting 42 points, while Yvonne Ondari claimed the women’s overall title with an identical score as the one-day tournament concluded yesterday at TPDF Lugalo Golf Club on Saturday, September 5, 2026.
The tournament, organised by Vodacom Tanzania PLC in partnership with Oakwood Holdings Limited through Vodacom Business, brought together about 150 golfers from Tanzania and neighbouring countries, including business leaders, directors, company executives and golf enthusiasts.
Shemndolwa’s 42-point tally saw him take the overall men’s honours in a highly competitive field, while Ondari matched the winning score to lead the women’s category.
In Division A, Godfrey Abel topped the standings with 42 points, finishing ahead of Likuli Juma, who carded 41 points.
Sigfrid Urassa won Division B with 40 points, edging Godfrey Kilenga, who also finished on 40 points but lost on countback.

Corporate competition also provided a major highlight, with KQ team emerging as the winning team after competing against nine other corporate teams.
The individual special prizes went to Michael Norbert, who won the men’s Longest Drive, while Kapalia claimed the women’s Longest Drive award.
Harshid Barmeda won the men’s Nearest to the Pin, with Vaileth James taking the corresponding women’s prize.
Played over 18 holes, the tournament continues to strengthen its position as an important platform for networking and relationship building among Tanzania’s business community.
The 2026 edition, now in its third consecutive year, attracted corporate teams and individual golfers to compete for honours while creating opportunities for business engagement away from the course.
Beyond the competition, participants and their families enjoyed the corporate village, which featured entertainment, business exhibitions, a vintage showcase and a dedicated children’s area.
Speaking during the closing ceremony, Vodacom Tanzania PLC Director of Vodacom Business, Nguvu Kamando, said the tournament had once again demonstrated the role sport can play in creating meaningful business connections.
“The Vodacom Corporate Masters 2026 Golf Cup has once again proven that sport is a powerful platform for building lasting business relationships. We are delighted by the strong participation of companies and the pace of new relationships formed this week,” said Kamando.
He added: “For Vodacom Business, this is part of our commitment to remaining a trusted business growth partner for institutions growing within Tanzania’s digital economy.”
Throughout the tournament, Vodacom Business showcased connectivity solutions designed to meet the evolving needs of corporate customers.
Chairman of the Corporate Masters Committee, Ken Kariuki, commended the participating companies and said the tournament continued to contribute to business networking and the growth of golf.
“This year we witnessed high-level competition on the course and meaningful business engagement off it. That is the core purpose of Corporate Masters, bringing companies together in a welcoming environment that generates real opportunities for partnership,” said Kariuki.
He said the partnership between Vodacom and Corporate Masters demonstrated how companies can work together to create value for customers and stakeholders while supporting the development of golf in Tanzania.
The successful conclusion of the Vodacom Corporate Masters 2026 reinforces Vodacom Tanzania’s use of sport as a platform to strengthen business relationships, encourage innovation and connect business leaders with digital solutions supporting Tanzania’s economic growth.
