Yanga and Azam agree terms for 'Fei Toto’ transfer
Dar es Salaam. Young Africans Sports Club has agreed terms with Azam Football Club for the transfer of midfielder Feisal Salum Abdullah following the conclusion of negotiations between the two sides, the club has announced.
In a club statement issued on Thursday, June 8, Yanga said they had reached an agreement and what is left is for the player to negotiate personal terms; however, the value of the transfer was not made public.
Feisal Salum is now set to join his new team after the transfer window opens in the next couple of weeks.
The player’s transfer follows months of standoff after Feisal boycotted training and left the team’s training base in January.
It is alleged that in an attempt to force through his transfer to the ice cream makers, the player paid his Sh112 million release clause to terminate his contract; however, they held on to their guns and refunded the money.
The transfer saga was on the agenda when President Samia hosted Yanga at State House following their exploits at the CAF Confederation Cup, where they finished as runners-up.
In her address, she urged the club to urgently resolve the issues surrounding the player, saying it was not healthy for football.
