The United African University of Tanzania (UAUT) an ideal place for quality education and scholarship

The UAUT is a private Christian Higher Learning Institution founded by the Registered Trustees of the Korean Church Mission (KCM).

The UAUT is a private Christian Higher Learning Institution founded by the Registered Trustees of the Korean Church Mission (KCM).

Established in 2011 and issued with a Certificate of Full Registration Number CR1/024 by the Tanzania Commission for Universities, the Institution is located in the Kigamboni Municipality, Dar es Salaam Region, on a piece of land with plot No. 772, Block F, Vijibweni Area.

The vision of the UAUT is to raise Tanzania leaders who are equipped with excellence in wisdom, knowledge and Christian virtues. They are expected to serve the nation, Africa and the world at large with God’s vision, confidence, courage and great passion through the application of engineering, science and technology.

Currently the university offers two programs; A 4 year Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering and Information Technology and a 3 year Bachelor of Business Administration with three specialities in Accounting, Human Resources Management and Marketing.

The University has highly qualified and internationally experienced lecturers from within and outside the country such as Canada, Germany, South Korea and the United States of America. Among the Tanzanian lecturers, some took their studies in Botswana, China, India, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

The University fees are generous and affordable, having considered also the parents and guardians of students within the low income bracket.

The University offers scholarship awards ranging from tuition, accommodation and stationery. For the 2018/19 academic year, 40% of students received scholarship awards.

The UAUT provides an opportunity to learn Korean language which enables the student to undertake internship, study post graduate programs and/or take employment overseas and in Korean Companies based in Tanzania. Not only that, the UAUT offers training in Taekwondo for two years for physical fitness.

Additionally, the university provides free entrepreneurship training to all students in collaboration with The Handong University of South Korea.

The university gives international exposure through cultural exchange programs in which UAUT students have an opportunity to visit Korean Universities during vacations, while their counterparts in Korea visit the UAUT.

The UAUT provides a friendly accommodation environment for students with spacious gender sensitive hostels, cafeteria, stationery services and sports amenities.

The UAUT Central Library is the main hub of teaching and learning at University. The Library has more than 30,000 books, educational magazines, journals, E- resources and free Wi-Fi within the campus where secretarial services are provided.

Two principal passes in Mathematics and Physics. Those without a principal or subsidiary pass in Chemistry must have a pass at O-Level

FOR HOLDERS OF DIPLOMA QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma In Computer Science Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer and Information Communication Technology (ICT) Or Automobile Engineering with an average of “B” or GPA of 3.0 and at least four passes or three credits at O-level.

BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION

FOR HOLDERS OF FORM SIX QUALIFICATIONS

Two principal passes excluding religious and language subjects. In case one of the passes is not mathematics, one must have a credit in mathematics at O-Level

FOR HOLDERS OF DIPLOMA QUALIFICATIONS

Diploma in Business Administration, Business, Marketing, Human Resources Management, Accounting, Banking/Finance, Project Planning and Management or Insurance and Risk Management with an average of “B” or GPA 3.0 and at least four passes “D” or three credits (Three C’s) at O-Level
