President Mwinyi makes cabinet changes
Unguja. President of Zanzibar Dr. Hussein Mwinyi made changes to his cabinet on January 27, 2024, appointing two new ministers and transferring one minister to a new portfolio. He also appointed two new deputy ministers.
In the new changes, Mudrick Ramadhan Soraga has been appointed Minister of Tourism and Cultural Heritage, replacing Simai Mohamed Said, who resigned on January 26. Soraga previously served as Minister of Economy, Labour, and Investment.
Ali Suleiman (Mrembo) has been appointed Minister of State, Office of the President - State House, Mrembo previously served as Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning.
Shaaban Ali Othman takes over as Minister of Blue Economy and Fisheries, Othman previously served as Deputy Minister of Water, Energy, and Minerals.
Juma Makungu Juma was appointed Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning, replacing Zawadi Amour Nassor, who was appointed Deputy Minister of Water, Energy, and Minerals. Makungu Juma previously served as Deputy Minister of Lands and Housing Development.
Salha Mohamed Mwinjuma was appointed Deputy Minister of Lands and Housing Development, replacing Juma Makungu Juma. Mwinjuma is a Representative of Special Seats from the Group of Youth in the South.
Zawadi Amour Nassor was appointed Deputy Minister of Water, Energy, and Minerals, replacing Salha Mohamed Mwinjuma. Nassor is a Representative of Konde.
