Prominent businessman and politician Mohammed Raza has died

Dar es Salaam. Prominent businessman and former Uzini MP Mohamed Raza Hassanali Dharamsi popularly known as Mohamed Raza, has died at the age of 61 at the Aga khan Hospital Dar es Salaam where he was admitted several weeks ago.

He is set to be buried today, June 8 in Dar es Salaam, family sources have confirmed.

Raza was elected in February 2012 to represent the Uzini constituency in the Zanzibar House of Representatives and was into office on 28 March 2012.

During President Salmin Amour tenure he was appointed his advisor on sports and is credited with the rise of Malindi Sports Club in the Isles in the 1990s.
