Zanzibar launches tourism and investment show

Unguja.  Zanzibar’s Ministry of Tourism and Heritage and the Commission for Tourism (ZCT)  have on Wednesday, June 5, joined forces to launch the Zanzibar Tourism and Investment show, 2024.

The event is set to become the largest tourism expo aimed at promoting Zanzibar's tourism and investment opportunities on the islands.

 Themed "Promoting Sustainable Tourism, Heritage Preservation, and Investments," the show will be held at the Zanzibar Exhibition Center on October 25 and 26,  2024.

The event promises to be a significant platform for showcasing the beauty, vibrancy, and investment potential of Zanzibar, attracting tourists, investors, and industry professionals from across the globe.

Speaking in Unguja, the Minister for Tourism and Heritage, Mudrick Soragha, unveiled plans for the show, emphasizing its potential to position Zanzibar as a top-tier destination for tourists and investors alike.

He highlighted the event's significance in promoting Zanzibar as a premier destination on the global stage.

On her part, the Zanzibar Commission for Tourism executive secretary Hafsa Mbamba it was something that the sector had waited for with bated breath.

 "In celebrating the rich tapestry of Zanzibar’s heritage and culture, we unlock not only the treasures of our past but also the boundless opportunities for our future. By fostering a deep appreciation of our history and traditions, we pave the way for sustainable investment that enriches our communities and preserves our unique identity. Together, let us embrace our heritage, celebrate our culture, and invite the world to invest in the vibrant future of Zanzibar," she said

Featuring more than 250 high-quality hotels, tour operators, and attractions from Zanzibar and with visitors from Tanzania, East Africa, and beyond, the show will offer a fertile ground for investment and deep insights into Zanzibar's flourishing market through exclusive workshops and seminars.

Attendees will have the opportunity to discover new market developments, emerging destinations, products, and services that can significantly enhance their investment portfolios and deliver rich experiences to travellers.
