Airtel Tanzania opens third SGR shop in Dodoma

Dodoma. Airtel Tanzania has opened its third Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) shop in Dodoma, enhancing its presence in transportation hubs to provide accessible customer services. This follows the successful launch of similar outlets at the Morogoro and Dar es Salaam SGR stations.

The new shop increases Airtel’s nationwide outlets to 45, reinforcing the company’s focus on improving service accessibility in urban and rural areas.

Positioned to serve travelers, entrepreneurs, and residents, the Dodoma SGR shop offers services such as SIM card registration, Airtel Money transactions, mobile device sales, and customer care.

Speaking during the launch, Assistant Regional Administrative Secretary for Dodoma, Mwajabu Nyamkomora, commended Airtel’s contribution to the communication sector.

“Airtel Tanzania continues to be a key partner in advancing digital connectivity. This shop supports the government’s vision of making essential services more accessible and fostering national development,” said Nyamkomora.

Airtel Tanzania’s Director of Customer Experience, Adriana Lyamba, said the company was committed to customers and that everything it does is meant to satisfy their needs.

“This shop demonstrates our dedication to providing efficient, reliable services that meet their needs, whether they are travelers or residents,” Lyamba stated.

Airtel’s SGR shops aim to accommodate the needs of travelers by integrating services into transportation hubs. This strategy supports the government’s infrastructure modernization efforts while improving connectivity across Tanzania.

The opening of the Dodoma shop underscores Airtel’s commitment to digital inclusion, aligning with the nation’s broader goals for economic growth and social development.
