Dar es Salaam. Regional safari airline Flightlink has announced the launch of daily flights between Arusha and Nairobi starting June 15, 2025, in a move aimed at strengthening tourism in East Africa.
The new route aligns with the Tanzanian government’s efforts to promote tourism, as recently underscored by President Samia Suluhu Hassan during her Royal Tour initiative.
The service will operate daily, with departures from Nairobi (Wilson Airport) at 8am, arriving in Arusha at 9am. The return flight will depart Arusha at 5pm and arrive in Nairobi at 6pm.
In partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and the Tanzania Tourist Board (TTB), Flightlink aims to simplify travel between Serengeti National Park in Tanzania and the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya—two of East Africa’s most iconic safari destinations.
Arusha Airport has also been designated as a regional hub with newly commissioned customs and immigration facilities to support turbo-prop aircraft operations.
“We are excited to launch this new route and contribute to the growth of the tourism industry in both Tanzania and Kenya,” said managing director of Flightlink, Mr Munawer Dhirani.
“Our collaboration with the Tanzania Airports Authority and the TTB reflects a shared vision to showcase the region’s natural wonders and cultural heritage,” he added.
Flightlink’s daily service is designed to offer convenience and flexibility for travellers, supported by a modern fleet of ATR and Cessna aircraft and a commitment to high service standards.
The airline also expressed appreciation to the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority, Tanzania Airports Authority, the Ministry of Works and Transport, and the relevant airport authorities in Kenya for their support in realising the new route.
Flightlink is a regional airline offering scheduled and charter services across East Africa.
