Dar es Salaam. Some 500 people have secured employment opportunities at the famous Samaki Samaki chain of restaurants, its owner, Carlos Kalito has said.

The restaurant, this year,  marks 16 years of operation in Tanzania since it was established in 2007 with its first branch at Mlimani City.

Specialised in serving seafood and beverages, the investment is a chain of restaurants with three branches located at Mlimani City, City Center and Masaki, Dar-es-salaam.

Kalito who is the Chief Executive Officer of Kalito's Way Group of Companies, has hailed the investment environment in Tanzania which has enabled him expand the business.

He said innovation and creativity were key to their successful food and beverage businesses amid tight competition.

"We have several branches in the city that are doing well. To ensure we still dominate the market, we have decided to celebrate our 16th anniversaries in style. We have introduced the Revolution festival, where our clients get the maximum and most varied test of food and entertainment," said Kalito.

He said various artists have performed at their Mlimani City branch, to give their customers a treat that they desire.

"So far our clients have been entertained by the Cuban-based music group Cuban Bros, who performed during the launching ceremony at the Mlimani City branch, and they will continue to give different music flavors from different musicians," he said.

The firm’s group entertainment manager, Hellen Kazimoto, said that they have planned to bring a different kind of unique entertainment.

"The Revolution Festival is unique, and we will give opportunities to various local artists. So every day we have different entertainment, all with no limited time," she said.
