Dar es Salaam. Bolt is extending its scheduled ride pre-booking feature as it responds to customers’ feedback, the company said yesterday.

The new development enables business customers to book rides up to 90 days in advance, compared to the previous window of 72 hours.

This decision comes as Bolt experiences a significant increase in demand for scheduled rides, with a month-over-month growth rate of 30 percent.

The extension of the advanced booking window for scheduled rides is aimed at enabling corporate and SME clients to plan their trips well in advance, according to Bolt Business Country Manager for Tanzania, Mr Milu Kipimo.

“Moreover, customers now have the option to choose their preferred ride category and provide specific instructions for drivers, allowing for a more personalised experience tailored to individual needs. This enhancement supports the time-saving objectives of corporates and SMEs,” he said.

The move, he said, was another step towards the company’s mission of enabling its business customers to plan and predict their rides efficiently.

Bolt remains committed to continuously seeking ways to elevate the overall user experience on its app by innovating and utilising strategic investments to deliver the most affordable, convenient and enjoyable experience to all users.

Earlier this month, Bolt announced Bolt Business Coupons to enable companies to share or fully cover the cost of a single ride for their employees and clients, enhancing convenience and efficiency in business travel.
