East Africa’s biggest talent show is set to ignite the stage as it gears up for its grand finale on February 28 at the Wherehouse in Masaki, Dar es Salaam.
Now rebranded as Bongo Star Search Beyond Borders, this season unites exceptional talents from Tanzania, Uganda, and beyond, forging a platform for a truly continental showdown.
Ritha, CEO of Benchmark Production 360 and a chief judge on the show, shares her excitement, “Today, we are here to announce the finals, which are going to be on February 28 at the Wherehouse in Masaki, Dar es Salaam. I urge everyone not to miss this event.”
The competition’s journey has been remarkable.
Auditions in Uganda, Kampala, and Nairobi attracted a diverse array of hopefuls, and from this competitive pool, the top six finalists have emerged—two standout contestants from Uganda alongside a strong representation from Tanzania, with additional talent from Congo shining through.
Reflecting on the regional unity, Ritha adds, “We are overwhelmed by the talent from across East Africa, and this finale is a true celebration of our shared musical heritage. Our winner will not just be a Tanzanian star but an icon for the entire region.”
This diverse mix underscores the show’s inclusive, pan-East African spirit.The stakes are high.
The grand prize is $10,000 (approximately Sh20 million), plus additional rewards from prominent sponsors. The finale promises a four-hour, nonstop extravaganza of performances, with exclusive content streaming via Startimes Swahili.
