Dar es Salaam. Bongo Flava star Rayvanny draws inspiration from Nigerian music icon Wizkid in his smooth exit from Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB).

Bongo Flava artist Rayvanny reveals that Nigerian music icon Wizkid inspired his smooth departure from Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) without any drama.

In an interview on Afrobeats Podcast with Ade Scope, Rayvanny shares that Wizkid's decision to leave his former label amicably influenced his own approach.

He recounts a conversation where Wizkid advised him against speaking ill of anyone, emphasising belief in one's talent. Rayvanny reflects, "I learnt something from that, and I thought to myself, okay, it's not necessary to fight or have quarrels. You just have to believe in your talent."

He further explains that if he could pay his way out of the label, he was confident he could earn that money back.

Despite his exit, Rayvanny emphasises that his relationship with Diamond Platnumz remains strong, stating, "He's my brother. We were on the phone for about an hour, and I believe that with good communication and self-confidence, there's no need to fight."

Additionally, Rayvanny shares how he secured a collaboration with Latin pop star Maluma. At a fashion week event in LA, he noticed Maluma enjoying his song. Taking initiative, he messaged Maluma, "Bro, thanks for vibing to my song.

I wish we could do something together." After a few days without a reply, Rayvanny posted a photo with Maluma, teasing, "something coming." This move generated buzz, leading Maluma to reach out for a remix, and their collaboration took off from there.
