Tanga. In a significant boost to women entrepreneurs in Tanga, 487 food vendors have received essential business support from Cola Kwanza Ltd, in partnership with Oryx Gas Tanzania, and the Institute of Social Work (ISW).

The initiative forms part of the ‘Mwanamke Shujaa’ campaign.

The women entrepreneurs were gifted cooking equipment, clothing items, and also participated in workshops aimed at enhancing their business and entrepreneurial skills.

Training focused on essential areas like bookkeeping, customer care, stress management, and capital growth.

The handover ceremony took place at the Usagara Secondary School over the weekend, in the esteemed presence of Hon. Ummy Mwalimu, Minister of Health and Member of Parliament for Tanga Constituency.

Each woman received a 15kg gas cylinder, a two-plate gas cooker, an apron, a cooking table, and a crate of soda. This effort has increased the beneficiaries of the Mwanamke Shujaa campaign to 843 this year, reflecting a strong commitment by Coca-Cola Kwanza Ltd to empower women economically.
