Our commitment to recognizing and promoting women's accomplishments remains unwavering. It’s a special time where we celebrate women's achievements that truly empower our nation.
About The Citizen Rising Woman Initiative
In the spirit of Empowering the Nation, our initiative, which started in a boardroom, has grown into a strong force that connects communities and celebrates women's accomplishments. Having given out 30 awards since we began, we're committed to making sure women have a meaningful role in business and decision-making.
Call for Entries: 2024 RWI Awards
Now, here's the fun part! In partnership with KPMG, Mwananchi Communications Limited invites you to apply for the 2024 Rising Woman Awards. We have two categories for you to shine in the Rising Woman Award for organizations making things fair, and the Woman of the Future Award for companies with cool ideas supporting women.
Award Categories
Category one: RISING WOMAN AWARD
Eligibility
Recognizes organizations fostering gender equality, with substantial female representation in management and decision-making processes.
Category two: WOMAN OF THE FUTURE AWARD
Eligibility
Recognizes impactful initiatives advancing gender balance within organizations. Entrants must showcase HR policies, systems, and structures supporting women's career progression.
Submission Guidelines
AWARDS SUBMISSION
Please provide the following:
Rising Woman Award category
Details of your management composition, including time of service and promotion pathways (maximum five pages).
Woman of the Future Award category
Details of enabling factors such as HR policies, systems, and structures supporting women's leadership roles (maximum five pages).
Submit entries in PDF format, less than 10MB, with screen resolution (96 dpi) for jury review.
Email submissions to [email protected] before the deadline.
Entry file names should include the entry name and category.
Questions Deadline
Questions regarding submissions before February 16th, 2024 at 1500hrs. Submit any questions to [email protected]
Submission Deadline
Wednesday, February 25th, 2024, by 1500hrs.
Submission Email Declaration
Include a declaration confirming the organization's permission to submit and agreeing to protect Mwananchi Communications Limited from any claims. For example: "XXXX the Organization declares that it has permission to submit and agrees to protect Mwananchi Communications Limited from any claims."
And here's the big news, the winners will be celebrated at The Citizen Rising Woman Gala Dinner on 8th March at the Super Dome Masaki, Dar es Salaam, starting at 4 PM
