Zanzibar. Airtel Africa reaffirmed its dedication to promoting African music and talent at the Trace Awards 2025, held from February 24 to 26 at The Mora in Zanzibar.

The event was officially opened by the President of Zanzibar, Dr Hussein Ali Mwinyi, who emphasized the government's ongoing support for the music industry.

Dr. Mwinyi highlighted the pivotal role of entertainment in driving social and economic development.

" We believe in the power of the entertainment sector to drive change because music is a great tool that inspires empowerment, promotes tourism, encourages economic growth, and social development. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate and thank all stakeholders who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this event," said Mwinyi.

The event saw Tanzanian music star and Airtel Tanzania's brand ambassador, Nassib Abdul alias known as Diamond Platnumz share his excitement about Airtel's role.
