How Microsoft Azure can benefit Tanzania

Dar es Salaam. The Raha liquid Telecom (Raha) in partnership with Microsoft hosted the first cloud event in Tanzania that aimed at improving digital services in the country.

Raha Chief Executive Officer Mr Aashiq Shariff said it was the right time for Tanzanians to benefit from improved digital service so as to go along with the fast moving technology.

''In order to thrive and succeed in today's fast moving and ever changing economy, business and IT leaders must adopt a transformational mindset. Every business wants to be productive, increase efficiencies and make data driven decisions," said Mr Shariff.

He added that, ''This can be achieved by embracing digital transformation, automation and collaboration enabled by Azure Cloud services. That is why we are so excited to be hosting this event, making it the first of its kind in Tanzania.”

The benefit of the new technology

Microsoft Technical Solutions Specialist Mr Stephen Ebichondo said the introduced technology will help businesses to reduce the costs of internet because they will only pay when they use the service for protection and data maintenance.
