Dar es Salaam. Businessman and philanthropist Mustafa Sabodo has pledged to construct a modern film studio to be named after Founding Father of the nation Julius Kambarage Nyerere in Dodoma.

Briefing reporters in Dar es Salaam on Saturday, Mr Sabodo said construction of the studio is part of his plan to support the government’s move to the designated capital.

He noted that he was planning to give the government 90 per cent of his earnings while his family will remain with 10 per cent.

“I will assist in persuading at least five major investors from India. These investors will play a big role in improving the economy and reduce unemployment,” he said.

In a related development, Mr Sabodo refuted media reports that had quoted him as saying that he would invest $5 billion in Dodoma.
