Known as Mwanamke Shujaa Campaign, the initiative has proved beneficial to food vendors who decided to convene here yesterday to celebrate their achievements and share their stories.

Under the campaign the women were provided with vital business support, including essential cooking equipment, clothing items and a series of workshops aimed at enhancing their skills in areas such as bookkeeping, customer care, stress management and capital growth.

Gracing the event, the Heath minister, Ms Ummy Mwalimu, highlighted the pivotal role of the initiative in boosting food vendors’ operations, increasing individual income, generating job opportunities for women, and aligning with the government's clean energy agenda.

Throughout the campaign period, each woman received a 15kg gas cylinder, a two-plate gas cooker, an apron, a cooking table, and a crate of soft drinks.
