Dar es Salaam. Former Prime Minister and Member of Chadema Central Committee, Mr Edward Lowassa, wants President Magufuli to initiate political dialogue with other politicians on various political issues in the country.

Mr Lowassa said that today in an interview with Mr Tido Mhando at Azam TV. He said that politics is all about dialogue and not simply issuing orders as what President Magufuli does. He said everyone has the duty to respect the peace of our country and no one has the copyright for Tanzania.

“The government is not supposed to be angry; it should have the tendency to initiate talks. We are all Tanzanians, why do we fear to have dialogue? Through dialogue, we can come up with better solutions for our problems. And what’s more, President Magufuli has the duty to end the political crisis in Zanzibar; we hear several times how people are being arrested in the Isles, so, the President cannot evade the issue of Zanzibar because it is his responsibility,” said Mr Lowassa.

However, Lowassa has appreciated the efforts President Magufuli is making to solve the problem of desks in primary and secondary schools and his plan to move the government to Dodoma. He said it’s  a good thing for the government to move to Dodoma, but he has warned that the move must be implemented cautiously.
