Names of 19 people who died in Precision Air crash

Bukoba. Kagera Regional Commissioner, Albert Chalamila has released the names of the 19 people who lost their lives in Precision Air plane crash that occurred on Sunday, November 6.

Speaking to journalist in the region yesterday, Chalamila identified the 19 as follows;

2. Aneth Biteya
3. Neema Faraja
4. Hanifa Hamza
5. Aneth Kaaya
6. Victor Laurean
7. Said Malat Lyangana
8. Iman Paul
9.  Faraji Yusuph
10. Sauli Epimark
11. Zacharia Mlacha
12. Eunice Ndirangu
13. Mtani Njegere
14.  Zaituni Shillah
15. Dr. Alice Simwinga
16.  Buruhani Bubaga – Captain
17. Peter Odhiambo - first officer.
18. A catholic nun whose name was yet to be identified
19. Name was not identified

The plane PW 494 -5H-PWF, was flying from Dar-Bukoba-Mwanza with 43 passengers and crew on board, when it plunged into Lake Victoria in the early hours of Sunday.

The aircraft was preparing to land at Bukoba Airport, the cause of the crash is yet to be known.
In other development, Chalamila said Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa was in the region and will lead mourners in paying final respect to the deceased.

The funeral services will be held at the Kaitaba Stadium from 10am and will be conducted by Muslim and Christian religious leaders.

Majaliwa who is representing President Samia Suluhu Hassan, has ordered investigation into the crash to ascertain the discrepancy of two more people from the earlier communicated number of 43 on board.
