Dar es Salaam. The National Bank of Commerce (NBC) has proudly handed over a staggering Sh40 million worth of gifts to the deserving winners of its 'Shinda Mechi Zako Kinamna Yako' campaign.
The groundbreaking initiative aims to inspire economic growth and financial stability through a saving culture among its diverse customer base, encompassing individual clients, employees, small business owners, and even students.
A total of 45 winners were identified over the course of the one-year campaign's three-month duration, through the monthly draws held at the bank's headquarters in Dar es Salaam.
The winners were selected through a rigorous process involving the bank's officials and representatives from the Gaming Board of Tanzania, ensuring transparency and fairness.
The impressive array of prizes awarded to the victorious customers included cash prizes, mobile phones, laptops, energy-efficient refrigerators, children's tablets, health insurance coverage, and even modern, eco-friendly cooking stoves.
The semifinal of the campaign is set to take place at the end of this month, where the bank will hand over a brand-new BMW X1 car, one of the two grand prizes meticulously planned for this year-long celebration of customer success.
"Through this campaign, we are not just handing out prizes; we are empowering our customers to achieve their dreams and aspirations," said the Marketing Specialist at NBC, Moses Senkoro.
He added: Whether it's starting a new business, educating their children, or realizing their personal goals, we believe that by encouraging a culture of savings and financial responsibility, we can help our customers unlock their true potential and transform their lives."
The campaign's unique approach has resonated with a wide range of customer segments, each catered to through specialized account offerings.
Chanua accounts, designed for children, awarded youngsters with tablets, while Malengo account holders were presented with refrigerators.
The Mwalimu and Johari accounts, tailored for educators and women, respectively, saw the distribution of high-quality gas stoves and pressure cookers.
"In addition to the cash prizes of up to Sh2 million awarded to our Biashara (Business) account holders, we have also distributed Samsung mobile phones to the winners of our Mshahara (Salary) accounts, laptops to the winners of our Student accounts, health insurance coverage to the victors of our Kua Nasi accounts specifically designed for entrepreneurs, and cash prizes of up to Sh500,000 to the winners of our Vikundi (Group) accounts," he explained.
Meanwhile, the Marketing Manager of the bank, Ms Arina Kimaryo, urged various customers of the bank, especially youths, to make good use of the opportunity provided by NBC through the campaign in order to benefit from the various prizes associated with it.
"The diversity of prizes reflects our deep understanding of the varied needs and aspirations of our customers," said Kimaryo. "We firmly believe that by empowering our clients, we are not only contributing to their personal growth but also fueling the overall economic and social development of our nation."
The 'Shinda Mechi Zako Kinamna Yako' campaign has struck a chord with the Tanzanian public, inspiring a newfound enthusiasm for savings and financial planning. By harnessing the excitement of soccer, a beloved national sport, the bank has seamlessly integrated the spirit of competition and achievement into the realm of personal and professional advancement.
"When we say'shinda mechi zako' (win your matches), we are encouraging our customers to approach their dreams and goals with the same determination and passion that they would bring to the soccer field," Kimaryo explained. "Through this campaign, we are providing them with the tools, resources, and support they need to emerge as champions in their own right."
