Necta annuls 333 Form Four results

Dar es Salaam. The National Examination Council of Tanzania (Necta) has canceled the results of 333 candidates for the ordinary certificate of secondary education exams (CSEE).

The results were annulled due to cheating in the exams held from November 14 to December 1, 2022, in Tanzania Mainland and Zanzibar.

Necta’s acting executive secretary, Mr Athumani Amasi, said on Sunday that of the 333 annulled results, one was from the knowledge test (QT) and 332 were school candidates.

Also, he said there are other four candidates whose results were canceled because writing insults on their answer sheets.

According to Mr Almasi the council has suspended three exam centers that were proved to have planned and cheated in the CSEE 2022 exam.

He named the centers as Andrew Faza Memorial and Cornelius both of Kinondoni in Dar es Salaam, and Mnemonic Academy of Mjini Magharibi in Zanzibar.

Mr Amasi said that the total of 456,975 out of 520,558, equal to 87.79 percent have passed by getting first to fourth grades.

He explained that the performance has increased by 0.49 percent compared to last year where 422,388 candidates equal to 87.30 percent passed the exams.
