Dar es Salaam. The National Examinations Council of Tanzania (Necta) has nullified the results of 102 candidates who were found cheating in the 2023 Form Four national exams conducted between November and December 2023.
The Council's executive secretary, Dr Said Mohamed, disclosed on Thursday that five other candidates had their results cancelled for writing abuses in their scripts.
"The council has nullified results for 102 who were found to have cheated in the exam and five others who wrote abusive language in their scripts," he announced.

In 2019, Necta closed the Lutheran Exam Centre after students cheated and wrote abuses in their examinations.
"This time, one head teacher was found to have helped students cheat in their exams. Authorities are taking action against him. We will write a letter to schools whose students wrote abuses in scripts and also take action against these students as well," Dr Mohamed said.
