Dar es Salaam. Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa said government has started implementing the investment policy that will empower Tanzanians economically.

These sectors include agriculture, livestock keeping, fishing, forestry, construction, trade, tourism, mining, transport and more.
The Prime Minister stated this yesterday while addressing participants at the first stakeholders meeting held at the Mwalimu Nyerere International Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam.
He said the nation’s 2025 development vision aims at ensuring that Tanzanians benefit from the nation’s economy.
Earlier on, welcoming the Prime Minister, the Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (Policy, Parliament, Employment and the Disabled), Jenista Mhagama, said so far 20 regions have already identified areas for investment.
Councils have already started putting in place attractive infrastructure for potential investors.
Chairman of the National Economic Empowerment Council (NEEC), Prof Omari Issa said in today’s world it is meaningless to offer a loan to someone without connecting him/her to markets.
He said NEEC has positioned itself well, by connecting Tanzanians to relevant markets.
