President Samia pays homage to Angola’s founding father Agostinho Neto

Luanda. President Samia Suluhu Hassan on Tuesday paid tribute to the legacy of Angola’s founding father, Dr António Agostinho Neto, as part of her ongoing official visit to the southern African nation.

The Head of State visited the Neto Museum, situated at Public Square in Luanda, where she was accorded full military honours.

She then proceeded to the Memorial Tower dedicated to Dr Neto, the country’s first president and a pivotal figure in Angola’s struggle for independence.

President Samia laid a wreath at the memorial site, solemnly honouring the late leader and recognising his profound contribution to Angola’s liberation movement.

This gesture formed part of her diplomatic engagements, which seek to strengthen the historical and commercial ties between Tanzania and Angola.
