Radio presenter Gardner Habash passes away

Dar es Salaam. Renowned Clouds Media Group presenter Gardner G. Habash has passed away today, media spokesperson Emilian Mallya has confirmed.
According to Mr Mallya, Gardner died while receiving treatment at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute (JKCI) in Dar es Salaam.
Clouds Media management has also issued a statement confirming the death sending condolences to the family, friends and close relatives.
“More information about the demise will be released later. Our sincere condolences to the relatives, friends, colleagues and fans of Captain G Habash. The Lord has given, the Lord has taken, blessed be the name of the Lord,” reads part of Clouds statement.
Gardner is survived by his two daughters.
He came to fame through the ‘Jahazi’ programme that was aired at the station on weekdays with other presenters including Ephraim Kibonde who died in 2019.
During his career, in 2010 he moved from Clouds to another local media before going back in 2015.

The renowned presenter got married to Tanzanian songstress Judith Wambura, alias Lady Jaydee in May 2005 before the two divorced with no child in December 2016.
Various media people and famous people have taken to social media to express their sorrow following the death of Mr Habash.
