Sh927 million to be spent on renovation of Ilboru Secondary School

Arusha. Tanzania Education Authority in partnership with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology is expecting to spend Sh927 million for the rehabilitation of Ilboru Secondary School as part of the plan to renovate old schools in the country.

Speaking during the project hand-over ceremony for the school the TEA Deputy Director Greceana Shirima said the government intends to bring up the quality of education starting from improving infrastructures of buildings, dormitories, toilet facilities, electricity system and others of the national old schools.

She explained that in the project a number of 89 schools will be renovated in phases in which the first phase will reach out 17 schools.

She added that the renovation in Ilboru School will be done Suma-JKT and the instructor will be Arges Africa with Sh927 million used on the first phase.

“We’re thankful for the move of TEA to rehabilitate Ilboru school, we’ll make sure the work is done on the required standards,” said the Arusha City Council Director Dr Wilson Mahela.
