Dodoma. The government has announced 21,200 job vacancies for teachers and health service providers, whereby applications start from today to April 25, 2023.

The minister of State in the President’s Office (Regional Administration and Local Government), Ms Angela Kairuki, made the announcement yesterday April 12, 2023 when she was speaking to journalists in the Capital Dodoma.

Out of the 21, 200 jobs, the minister clarified that 13,130 will be for primary and secondary school teachers, while 8,070 for health workers at the level of dispensaries, health centres and hospitals.

She noted that job applicants should be those who graduated from 2015 to 2022 with the right qualifications and not more than 45 years of age.

However, the minister said those working as volunteers are invited to apply for the positions, but she did not say whether they would be given a priority.

"The President has issued a permit for employing the would-be applicants and we are immediately starting that process from today, those to be employed must be certificate and degree holders, depending on the job specification applied for," clarified the minister.

However, the minister warned the applicants of not falsifying their qualifications and age, including those with disabilities, who are liable to apply, insisting that the government will only employ those with the age of not more than 45 years.

She said all the applicants should apply through the Tamisemi website and that those who had applied earlier before are required to update their particulars and warned that those applications by using letters or through postal offices will not be received.
