Dodoma. The government is planning to invest in putting up a hatchery to boost the supply of fish in the country with the aim of producing 45 million fish fingerlings (juvenile fish) per year by 2021.

This was revealed in parliament by the Deputy Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Development, Mr Abdallah Ulega on Wednesday April 11.

He was responding to a question raised by MP for Chambani Constituency, Yusufu Hussein who sought to know the stage on implementation of the government's plan to produce fish fingerlings and supplying them to fish farmers across the country.
