Tanzanian President Samia mourns the death of Pope Francis

Dar es Salaam. President Samia Suluhu Hassan has expressed deep sorrow following the news of the passing of Pope Francis, the head of the Roman Catholic Church.

In a heartfelt message, she paid tribute to the Pope’s 12-year leadership, describing him as a teacher and a leader whose life was dedicated to promoting peace, human development, and global wellbeing.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the death of the leader of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis. Throughout his 12 years as the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Francis lived his life as a teacher and a leader who taught and encouraged the prosperity and development of people, as well as the promotion of peace,” President Samia said in her statement.
