TBL appoint new MD as Jarrin heads to New York

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania Breweries Limited board of directors has appointed new managing director Philip Redman with effect from February 2019.
In addition to TBL, Mr Redman will also be responsible for AB-InBev’s operations in Uganda and South Sudan.
He takes over from Roberto Jarrin, who has been moved to AB-InBev’s offices in New York.
A statement released yesterday and signed by the TBL board chairman Cleopa Msuya says new MD will join the company from AB-InBev Ghana, where he was the country director from 2014 to 2019.
Prior to that, he was the managing director of Voltic Ghana Ltd. Before moving to Africa, he worked in SAB Millier’s (now AB-InBev) Global Head Office in London as a senior portfolio and category strategy manager.
“During this period worked with a number of SAB Miller businesses across the world” read part of the statement.
Mr Redman completed his MBA from London Business School in 2010. Prior to the MBA, he was strategic marketing director for an engineering company.
