Three People Killed in Coast, Njombe road accidents

Coast Regional Police Commander Jafari Ibrahimu confirmed the accident saying the injured pupil has been admitted at Tumbi Hospital. According to him, the driver of a police car has been arrested pending investigations of the accident.
A pupil died when a police car knocked two pupils at Misugusugu in Coast Region today. Another one survived with injuries.

Two people were also killed in separate accident which occurred in Njombe after a bus in which they were travelling in overturned.
Njombe RPC, Mr Wilibrod Mtafungwa said the accident involved a bus christened New Force which was travelling from Dar es Salaam to Songea.
He said the accident occurred yesterday at 06.15pm at Igominyi village in Njombe. He said preliminary investigations indicated that the accident might have been caused by over speeding.
Two women who are yet to be identified were killed on the spot and 19 other passengers were injured out of whom five are in serious conditions.
He named the five as Donald Moshi (33), Richard Nichombe (25), Abukar Mfaume (29), Benjamin Mhenga (33) and one female child who has not been identified.
He said the driver of the bus identified by only one name of Yahaya absconded soon after the accident and police are looking for him.
