TMA warns of heavy rainfall for three consecutive days in Dar and other regions

Dar es Salaam. The Tanzania Meteorological Authority (TMA) has issued a weather alert warning of heavy rainfall in various parts of the country for three consecutive days, starting today, Thursday, March 27, 2025.

In its statement to the public, TMA cautioned that the expected downpours could lead to flooding in some residential areas.

For Thursday, March 27, heavy rains are forecasted in Mara, Kagera, Geita, Simiyu, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Singida, Dodoma, Kigoma, Tabora, and Katavi.

On Friday, March 28, rainfall is expected to persist in Mara, Geita, Simiyu, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, and Manyara, while expanding to Singida, Dodoma, Tabora, Tanga, Dar es Salaam, Morogoro, Pwani, Lindi, Mtwara, and the islands of Unguja and Pemba.

By Saturday, March 29, the heavy rains are projected to continue in Mara, Kagera, Geita, Simiyu, Mwanza, Shinyanga, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, Manyara, Singida, Dodoma, and Tabora.
