The final line-up of the leadership positions for ACT will be unveiled later today, with sources telling The Citizen on Saturday that Kabwe is likely to be named the party leader. The vacancy had not attracted any other candidate and according to ACT, the one named in this position would be the one mandated to run for the presidency on behalf of the party whenever appropriate. Interim secretary Samson Mwigamba was by last evening the only candidate for the same position, while Estomihi Mallah and Anna Mahwira will run for the national chair. The position of deputy chairman had attracted three candidates namely Shaaban Mambo, Ramadhan Sulieman Ramadhan and Hamad Yusuph.
Some 12 candidates had returned forms for the central committee and 21 for the national executive committee, and would assumedly be named as the first office bearers.
