Dar es Salaam. Young Africans (Yanga) consultant Senzo Mazingisa, was yesterday interrogated by Oysterbay Police officers about various football matters.

According to information received by The Citizen yesterday, Senzo was interrogated and later allowed to leave from the police station after making his statement.

Recently, Oysterbay Police interrogated former Simba Membership Director Hashim Mbaga on the club’s matters including his communications with Senzo about various issues.

Kinondoni Regional Police Commander Edward Bukombe confirmed about Senzo’s issue, but was not ready to give details. “It is true that my police officers interrogated Senzo on football matters and was allowed to leave after making his statement. What has been done is for the police use and not for the public as we are still making investigations,” said Bokombe.

The former Orlando Pirates administrative officer joined Simba last year under the club’s new leadership structure.

However, Senzo resigned on August 9, this year, and a few hours later he announced to join Yanga.

Senzo had also worked for Pirates and Platinum Stars. Senzo once wrote in one of his social media pages “Special thanks to @SimbaSCTanzania leadership for offering me the opportunity to lead this great club.

“I regrettably have tendered my resignation from the club with immediate effect.

Within a short time, a lot has been achieved. Asanteni Sana wana-Simba.” Simba issued a statement that last night confirming Mazingisa’s sudden departure.
