Dar es Salaam. Young Africans (Yanga) have been officially crowned the 2023/2024 Tanzania Mainland Premier League winners for the 30th time in their history in a grand ceremony held Saturday on May 25, 2024 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

The atmosphere was electric as the celebrations were accompanied by a myriad of entertainments, all adding to the excitement following Yanga’s commanding 3-0 victory over Tabora United at the venue.

“We deserve to celebrate despite having some task ahead to accomplish in the CRDB Federation Cup against Azam FC on June 2 at the Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar,” said Gamondi.

Skipper Mwamnyeto expressed his satisfaction at achieving their league season target despite facing another tough assignment in the CRDB Federation Cup.

He reiterated their aim to clinch victory in the cup, just as they had done in the past two seasons.

"It was not an easy season, but we gave our all to secure the title. Now, we are celebrating the 'fruits' of our efforts," remarked Mwamnyeto, reflecting on their hard-earned success.
