Simba and Yanga to clash again on October 19 in Mainland Tanzania Premier League

Dar es Salaam.  Tanzania’s fierce football rivals, Young Africans (Yanga) and Simba, are set to face each other once again on October 19, 2024, at the New Kinondoni Municipal Council (KMC) Complex in the ongoing Mainland Tanzania Premier League 2024/2025 season.

This highly anticipated match will be the second encounter between the two teams this year.

On August 8, 2024, Yanga triumphed 1-0 over Simba in the Community Shield at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.

The upcoming league match, part of the eighth round of fixtures, is scheduled to kick off at 4:00 PM.

According to the newly released Mainland Tanzania Premier League fixtures, the league is set to officially commence on August 16, 2024, with Pamba Jiji hosting Tanzania Prisons at the CCM Kirumba Stadium in Mwanza.

The league action will continue on August 17, 2024, with Mashujaa taking on Dodoma Jiji at Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma.

On the same day, Namungo will play against Fountain Gate at Majaliwa Stadium in Lindi.

Simba will begin their league campaign on August 18, 2024, by facing Tabora United at their selected home ground, the KMC Complex Stadium.

Also on that day, newly promoted side Ken Gold will go up against Singida Big Stars at Sokoine Stadium in Mbeya.

JKT Tanzania will kick off their season on August 28, 2024, with a match against Azam at Meja Isamuhyo Stadium in Dar es Salaam.

The league, which features a total of 30 rounds, will conclude on May 24, 2025.

Defending champions Yanga will start their campaign on August 29, 2024, in an away fixture against Kagera Sugar at Kaitaba Stadium.

On the same day, KMC will face Coastal Union at the New KMC Complex in Dar es Salaam.

The season promises to be thrilling, with Yanga seeking to defend their title after winning the championship for three consecutive years.

The competition also includes newly promoted teams, Ken Gold and Pamba Jiji, who will be aiming to make their mark in the top flight.
