Simba take on Mashujaa in CRDB Federation Cup today

Dar es Salaam. Tanzania football giants, Simba SC, today face the tough test of Mashujaa FC of Kigoma in the ongoing CRDB Federation Cup at the Lake Tanganyika Stadium in Kigoma.
The match has been scheduled to kick off at 4pm and the winner will qualify for the quarterfinals of the competition
So far, Azam FC, Singida Black Star FC, Namungo, Geita Gold, Coastal Union and Kagera Sugar have secured space in the quarterfinal of the competition, whose winner will represent the country in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Young Africans (Yanga) are the defending champions of the tournament.
The match is expected to be thrilling as each team will be targeting victory in order to qualify for the next round.

Simba assistant head coach Seleman Matola has instilled a sense of focus and determination within his squad as they face this crucial match.
“It is not going to be an easy match, Mashujaa FC are formidable rivals with the perfect record in their matches. However, securing victory remains our primary objective,” said Matola.
He said his players are spirited to win over Masuhara FC, whose head coach Abdallah Mohammed, also known as Bares, expressed his team’s unyielding ambition for victory.
Bares exuded confidence in his players’ form and preparation, believing they have the capability of pulling off a surprising upset. However, he admitted facing a strong opposition from Simba.
"It is not going to be an easy match as Simba are a tough team despite the fact that they have been eliminated from the CAF Champions League quarterfinals. Although we respect them, victory is a must. We want to take revenge on them as the time has come to do that," said Bares.
