Singida. A famous gaming firm in the country, SportPesa, in collaboration with Singida Fountain Gate FC, have supported the Singida Regional Referral Hospital during the climax of the "Singida Day" celebrations.

The firm’s board of directors’ chairman, Tarimba Abbas, and officials of Singida Fountain Gate FC and Singida Fountain Gate Princess team visited the maternity ward, encouraged the patients, and provided them with various items.

Speaking on the occasion, Tarimba said their firm and Singida Fountain Gate FC have decided to give back to society by comforting patients.

The SportPesa Tanzania boss said their firm is normally involved in the corporate and social responsibilities of giving back to the communities.

"This is not our first time to be involved in corporate and social responsibilities. It is our obligation. As the main sponsors of Singida Fountain Gate teams, we are proud of their progress, including finishing in the fourth position in the Mainland Tanzania Premier League last season and securing the chance of representing the country in the CAF Confederation Cup," said Tarimba.

For her part, Singida Regional Referral Hospital Chief Medical Officer Victorina Ludovick thanked the team and SportPesa for their good hearts in providing help to comfort the sick.

"We are very happy to see you coming all the way from Dar es Salaam to Singida to give support to sick people at our hospital. We appreciate the support, and this is a sign that, apart from sponsoring the team, you love the development of the people of Singida," said Ludovick.
