  • With Aziz Ki's current contract is to expire at the end of this season, many clubs across the African continent have expressed keen interest in acquiring his services.

Dar es Salaam. Young Africans (Yanga) SC have said their attacking midfielder, Stephane Aziz Ki, will not join any other club, brushing off a report on wire that he will leave after the end of the season.

With Aziz Ki's current contract is to expire at the end of this season, many clubs across the African continent have expressed keen interest in acquiring his services.

Notable among such clubs are Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates of South Africa including Pyramids FC of Egypt.

An impeccable source at Yanga has claimed that many big clubs on the African continent are in search of his signature, despite the club not having received any official requests about the transfer of the player.

“It is true that Aziz Ki is yet to sign a new contract with Yanga, he is now busy with the league’s remaining matches as his target is to win the golden boot award.

“He is our man and we are in good terms with him and that’s why we do not have pressure on his contract renewal,” said the source.

"Our negotiations are progressing well. Our intention is to secure a two-year contract, and we are confident of reaching a successful agreement,” added the source.

Further, the source said the club's leadership remain persistent in their commitment to the registration process, assuring that they will keep all key players.

Aside from Aziz Ki, negotiations are also ongoing with other key players including Bakari Mwamnyeto, Kibwana Shomari, and Farid Mussa, as well as those whose contracts have less than a year to expire.

As the defending champions of the Tanzania Mainland Premier League, Yanga are reportedly eyeing reinforcements to bolster their squad.

Two Congolese players, Chadrack Boka from FC Lupopo and Agee Basiala from Union Maniema, have been identified as potential targets to enhance the team's strength.

Additionally, the acquisition of Yusuph Kagoma, a holding midfielder formerly with Singida Fountain Gate FC, has reportedly been secured by the Jangwani Street giants.

Another strategic move in the club's plans involves Tanzania Prisons goalkeeper Yona Amos.

As the first-choice goalkeeper of Tanzania Prisons, Amos has demonstrated his prowess with seven clean sheets in the ongoing Tanzania Mainland Premier League.  Also, on the list is Philippe Kinzumbi from TP Mazembe.

Yanga aim to secure his services to fortify their backline and further solidify their position as a formidable side in Tanzanian football.

As the negotiations continue and plans for the future take shape, Yanga remain focused on maintaining their status as a dominant force in Tanzanian football, with eyes set on continued success both domestically and internationally.
